An Experiential Master Class in Collaboration, CONSORTIUM offers delegates the opportunity to massively improve their organizational collaboration skills in a scenario where “if one fails all fail!”

CONSORTIUM is a great tool for silo-busting in organizations and also offers solid learning around Business Acumen, Negotiation, Customer Engagement and Communications under pressure. It can also be used as a Development Centre with departments and teams to assess and improve their collaboration effectiveness.

Each of up to 6 teams is the management team of an Artisan Coffee Roaster with its own unique coffee roast, cost structure and production capacities.

However ..... as well as being direct competitors, the Roasters have been trying to work as a "Consortium" and have just won their first test contract to provide a major retailer with demanding volumes of their first collective product - an own-label artisan coffee selection box containing a bag of each of their distinctive roasts - all delivered in just 4 weeks!

IF the Roasters can work together and successfully deliver this pilot contract, then a massive contract should follow.

CONSORTIUM can be played on-suite or virtually and offers a fun (but serious) challenge in effective Collaboration.

The facilitator can intervene in the Simulation in real-time to create additional challenges.

The customer is part of the Simulation and can reject products and change requirements.

I really enjoyed the session and loved how you used the breakout function of Zoom to allow folks to move around. Of course, the coffee aspect was not the main purpose but it added some fun because these days we all think of ourselves as coffee aficionados! It made it easier for the groups to focus on the activity without an additional overhead to try and understand the scenario.
